Newsletter November 2011

Bikegreece is pleased to release the latest Bikegreece newsletter!

Hi all,

Christmas is nearly here…. where has the year gone? It’s passed in a blur of mountain, sea and happy memories! Time flies when you’re having fun!

Bikegreece with its friends and guests have had some fantabulous fun in 2011 – awesome trips, great times volunteering for Special Olympics, a 2nd place in the round Karystos race, a brand new and updated (just launched!) website, and best of all, lots of money raised for charity!

Hopefully you have been inspired as we have by the build up to the 2012 London Olympics and are looking forward to it!

CHARITY BIKE RIDES

The last charity bike ride for the year takes place on 10th December - Round the Varybobi area and Tatoi Royal Estate, followed by a spa and a Xmas dinner party at Villa Patricia! – Cost per person €20 which includes: mountain biking, food and drinks and all money goes to our new charity for 2012.

**** Xmas pudding provided and served (!) by James Brown*****

The day’s schedule will be something like this: We bike, then have a hammam and drinks, some food and libations, music and party!

After all, it's what mountain bikers do best!. The ride will start at 11:30am sharp (whatever the weather), the food is on at 6pm. Socializing and partying after that until…..?

If you need to hire a bike for the day, there is a 10 euro charge. Remember, this event is limited space and by reservation only, so book your place by sending us an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

CHARITY

This year we’ll be supporting a cause very close to our hearts (and less cultural than the previous year’s British School of Archeology): it’s the orphanage of Annarotirio Pentelis. Last year we visited the orphanage and we’ve seen that the children have many needs, one of which was in urgent need of a kidney transplant, so from this charity ride on and through 2012 we’ll be collecting donations for the orphanage. Soon, we’ll organize a visit to the grounds as the children are always delighted to have guests!

What else is new?

We are very happy  to announce the launch of our new website, but it’s not quite finished yet – give it a day or two – as our IT guys are working very hard  on it as we speak!

Now then – listen up! Click on ‘Improve your mountain bike skills’ on our new website to see our newly introduced workshops on how to make you a better mountain biker! Please note that all monies collected from the workshops will be donated to charity so by signing up, you are not only helping yourself improve and gain more confidence in your riding, but you are helping a child, too!

Our Coast to Coast popular week-long mountain bike holiday is now upgraded to an-all-inclusive holiday (ok, ok, except for that free-day!), so all your meals are in and you are worry-free for extra cash during your holiday!

Come and see me and Bike Greece at The Active Travel Show from 12 - 15 January at Excel London.

A ticket to The Active Travel Show also includes entry to The Outdoors Show, The London Bike Show and The London Boat Show, offering excellent value for money.
